Terms of Service
Effective 14 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of Coconut Desk (coconut.asia), run by Aneeshan Tyagarajah ("we", "us"), a dashboard for keeping a coconut farm's harvests, payments, costs and plans. By signing in you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Questions: aneeshant14@gmail.com.
Your account
- You sign in with a Google account. Keep that account secure; anything done while signed in as you is treated as done by you.
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least 16.
Farms and the people you share them with
- Each farm has one owner. The owner decides who else can use it, as an editor (can add and change records) or a viewer (can only look), and can remove people at any time.
- When you add someone, they can see the farm's records and the email addresses of its other members. Only add people you trust with that information.
- Where bot tokens are offered, they give full access to a farm's records through the API. Keep them secret and revoke any you no longer use.
- If you're added to someone else's farm, its records belong to that farm's owner. Use them only for that farm's work.
Your content
You keep ownership of the records you enter. You give Coconut Desk permission to store, process and display them to you and the people on your farm, and to back them up, only so the service can work. You are responsible for having the right to enter the information you add, including other people's email addresses.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, to store information you have no right to, to try to reach other people's farms or accounts, to interfere with the service or its security, or to overload it with automated requests.
Estimates, forecasts and outside data
The dashboard calculates estimates such as expected harvest dates, nut counts, prices, advances, balances and budgets. They come from your past records and public data (Colombo auction prices from the Coconut Development Authority, weather from Open-Meteo) and can be wrong. They are guidance only, not financial, legal or agricultural advice, and are no promise of what a buyer will pay. Check important figures against your statements before relying on them. Public data is shown as published and may be late, incomplete or wrong.
Bills and statements you upload are read by an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) into draft records. It can misread a figure, a date or a category, so check each draft against the document before you post it; posted records are yours, as if you had entered them by hand.
Plans and payments
- Coconut Desk is a subscription service, charged per estate, monthly or yearly, at the prices on the Pricing page. An estate's first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial; cancel before it ends and you won't be charged. A later subscription for the same estate starts without a trial.
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries about payments and handles returns, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Every payment comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee, as set out in the Refund Policy.
- If we change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your next payment at the new price, so you can cancel first.
- If a subscription ends or a payment fails, the estate's records are kept and stay readable, but can't be changed until the subscription is active again.
- We'll tell people who used Coconut Desk before subscriptions began how it affects them before anything is charged.
The service
- Coconut Desk is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and your records safe, including nightly backups, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that data can never be lost. Keep your own copies of important records (Quick Actions → Download backup).
- We may change, add or remove features, and may end the service. If we end it, we will give reasonable notice so you can download your records.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, Coconut Desk and its operator are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, income, data or business, arising from your use of the service or from relying on its figures, estimates or outside data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account and records (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
Privacy
How we handle your information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
